Chef Owned and Operated!

Chefs’ Michael Prete and Matt Greco started The Kitchen on Islington in Portsmouth, NH. in 2011, then Portsmouth Catering and in June of 2015, Blind Pig Provisions on Badgers Island in Kittery, Maine.

Both hail from a catering and private chef backgrounds cooking for celebrities, politicians and overseas big business clients. They merged style, technique and experience into one company to offer a broad culinary variety to clients like you!

From a casual spring cocktail party to elaborate fall receptions, private chef work and corporate events, Portsmouth Catering Company can tailor fit your needs into amazing menus and impecable service.

We do not provide pre-fabricated menus! We feel that each and every event is unique and demand their own specific attention. Likes, dislikes, allergies, theme of the party, and time of year for local growers all play a part in designing your menu.

We enjoy outside the box traditional slow foods, comfort food with a twist!


After we chat and you receive your menu, once you feel we are the ones for you, just a $1500 deposit books your date. From there, we can arrange a tasting and one of our managers will get in touch with you to discuss front of house logistics. We can aide you in amounts of alcohol to purchase, rental needs and any questions you have to make your planning easier. Please review our policies for more information and the “Q& A” section. We are requiring a professional planner be hired in order to book your event. We are offering $250 off of your event if you book one of our preferred Planners.

Please print, oil out the policies sheet and mail in your deposit, we will be in touch shortly after. We typically book out a year to a year and a half, so please don’t delay. We look forward to help making your event more memorable.
